Hand Made Music is an open mic performance venue located in Ringwood, New Jersey. Our mission is to provide an environment that allows for music to be performed live for an audience and for everyone to have a good time.
Hand Made Music is held on the third Saturday of each month at The Community Presbyterian Church, 145 Carletondale Road in Ringwood New Jersey. Please do not call the church for info, they are our hosts, an outside volunteer group handles running Hand Made Music.
All are invited to come out and perform. Singers, guitarists and other acoustic musicians are most welcome. We encourage musicians of all levels of experience to perform their music on stage in front of our audience. The only guideline that we have is that you actually perform your music with your own voice or on the instrument of your choice - we are karaoke free zone.
We provide a very good PA system along with microphones, direct inputs to the mixing board and guitar and bass amps. We currently are not set up to host bands with drum sets. The time required to bring a band on and off stage is just too much. Down the road we may be able to, so check back to see.
Hand Made Music isn’t just for musicians, we welcome poetry and dramatic readings, performance art and stand up comedy, within limits, after all this is hosted in a church and our audience is made up of all ages.
Sign up begins at 7:30 pm and the performances start at 8:00 pm.
Depending upon the number of musicians wishing to perform, your amount of stage time may vary. At a minimum you will get 2 songs or ten minutes of stage time. If turn out is light, perhaps you will get more time, however, if we have a full slate we will go with the 2 song or ten minute rule because we want to give everyone their chance to perform.
A $3 donation is recommended for all performers and audience members. We are a not for profit venture and the admission helps to defray some of our costs. Any funds left over after we cover our expenses are donated to local charities.
Refreshments and snacks are available for nominal charges.
Don’t worry a warm can of soda isn’t $2.50.

We are on a temporary hiatus for a few months. Hopefully we will be back soon hosting one of the best open mic nights in New Jersey. In order for Hand Made Music to continue on we do need the help of a few more volunteers. If you are interested please drop us a line.
